Plastic, Part 1

Big Yellow Taxi

Joni Mitchell

They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
With a pink hotel, a boutique
And a swinging hot spot
Dont it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till its gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

They took all the trees
Put em in a tree museum
And they charged the people
A dollar and a half just to see 'em
Dont it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till its gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

Hey farmer, farmer
Put away that d.d.t. now
Give me spots on my apples
But leave me the birds and the bees
Please!
Dont it always seem to go
That you dont know what youve got
Till its gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

Late last night
I heard the screen door slam
And a big yellow taxi
Took away my old man
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till its gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

Please don't post plastic part two if it in any way encourages people to watch the Graduate!
I think it is time we redefine what the top 100 movies to us are, rather than the top 100 socially demoralizing movies of all time are!
AS for the song, I happen to like the sing but can't seem to make the connection between the two.
Help me out:)

I'm hoping that the next few posts will clarify... basically, its takiing the real, the important and turning it into the human made, or the temporary, or superficially important.

It's official, I don't get you!!
I don't know why you posted this post and I watched rear window and don't get why you encouraged me to waste 2 hours watching it. No offence to you but I just don't seem to appreciate the same things as you!! Oh well I tried, I guess I'll go back to being your illiterate sister. :)
